Music and words
When did you start playing together? What is pop music for you?
Subooncha: We started playing together in 2000. The tribute to the Subsonics was born in 2003. Pop music for us is everyone's music, not randomly pop means popular. Subsonics we frame them more in electronic music but pop influences are definitely there.

You love the famous Italian pop band “Subsonica” and in fact you are a tribute band of the famous Italian pop band Subsonica. Among the many successes I have loved of the “Subsonica” is “Respirate” and the refrain says “I would like to be harmony/wind that inflates the flag/ caress the mountains/ to bring you back here/ to breathe/ just breathe/ and forget/ and not think anymore/ you want to breathe/ just breathe/ and forget/ and not think anymore”. If you go back, would you ever think about caressing, breathing your music and doing it harmoniously?
Subooncha: Going back maybe we would have spent some extra time for new music projects. Working full-time, we never had the chance. But we are very satisfied with the path made to date

In Sanremo we have seen so many young people coming from talent shows, these talent shows, according to the Subooncha tax band, are they an advertising format or are they a path to help young artists achieve the desired talent? What is talent for you?
Subooncha: Talent is what can distinguish an artist from a simple packaged product. Today's talents have amply tired. We looked at Xfactor with pleasure but we are at the last edition, now everything repeats true talents (excluding very few exceptions) we do not see. Reaching talent is a path that you do through studies. Success is achieved (and it is not said to last) but the talent is cultivated
What is the difference between tribute band and cover band?
Subooncha: There are various schools of thought. The tribute follows the same musical patterns, has the same sound and sometimes also the same clothing of the original group. The cover, on the other hand, you can customize it to your taste. We are a tribute, but we do not take too seriously as many do

Inspirations and references
What were the musical influences that you inspired to become a tribute band?
Subooncha: To do the Subsonics, you have to listen to the subsonics, of course. The Subsonics in turn have undergone the influences of dance music, electronics, so we also listen to so much music. From Depeche modes to the Chemical Brothers to Massive Attack. But we also listen to groups that are far from the Subsonica. Our guitarist Giuseppe, for example, is a great fan of Nek.
What is the soundtrack of your life and artistic journey?
Subooncha: Everyone has his favorite song. The Subsonic Roads is what everyone agrees with. But that When by Pino Daniele or English man in New York of Sting.
Who would you like to thank for your professional personal journey? What will your future projects be?
Subooncha: “We don’t know the future but we would like to continue playing especially to have fun together.
We thank our mothers, whom we love very much and who have always supported us in life. Let's thank friends and friends. The boyfriends who for some of us became wives and thank you, Mariateresa for this interview.
