Los Locos, a Latin American musical duo, is at the heart of this conversation on the theme: the music that makes generations dance. The dialogue retraces experiences, choices and reflections that emerged during the interview, leaving room for the guest’s voice.
How was the Los Locos project born? When did you realize that your music would make entire generations dance?
Los Locos: You've already told a lot about our story! We were born in 1991: at the time we produced dance, techno and house music. A bit of a joke we made “Porompopeo”, our first single, and we had a lot of fun.
It’s a piece that started immediately, because probably at that time people wanted some dance stuff with that sound a bit more Italian and a little more European that makes the pin beat, and from there all the hits you have listed were born. We realized that our destiny would be to make all these people dance: our destiny is to discover day by day because it is a wonder and it is a surprise for us
“We were born in 1991, when a bit of a joke at that time we produce dance music, tech music, house, instead a bit of a joke we made the “Porompopeo”, our first single of 1991 and the thing has a lot of fun”

Your music brings sunshine, rhythm and party everywhere. How much of Italy and how much of Latin America in your musical identity?
Los Locos: Paul: "My mother is from Venezuela and we listened to Latin music since I was a child. She soon entered my ear, so approaching me to this genre was spontaneous».
“Paul: “My mom is from Venezuela and Latin music I listened to her as a child”
In the 1990s Latin dance was everywhere, today the music scene has changed a lot. How did you experience this evolution, do you believe that your music still covers a slice of the market that will continue to exist?
Los Locos: “I would say exactly how the results confirm that the square of Casamassima where people pay us a lot of affection, despite more than thirty years of fashions have changed, generations have changed, but still the new generations dance our songs. Ours is a therapeutic music.”
Your music has accompanied the lives of so many people. What would you like to tell today who's been following you for years and who's only discovering you now?
Los Locos: ” But look at those who are discovering us now through the new platforms Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook I recommend never leave us; I believe that in any case to all those people who have followed us always to find a new affection”.
