The beginnings and passion
How did your artistic career begin?
Brancale: My career was born with the study of classical mischia, love for acting and theatre. I'm late for singing. [GROANS]

What was jazz music for you?
Brancale: Jazz music for me was a gift from my grandfather, it was a discovery. I listened to this musical genre for the first time with him, so I associate jazz to my grandfather's memory
We all met you with the song “Gallege”, beautiful song that you brought to Sanremo in the New Proposals. What does it mean to you “Gallege?
Brancale: “Gallege” for me it is a state of mind, a moment of indecision of the life in which it aleges without goal.
In Sanremo we saw young artists coming from the various talent shows. Do you think these talent shows (X-factor, The Voice, Friends) can be a box of conformism or a subject of study to help young artists, like you, get to the peak of success?
Brancale: Surely the talent today can be stronger at the level of popularity, of a Sanremo and can lead you to an easy success, depends if the ambition of the singer in question is to make television come down to compromises or live music.
“I also add that jazz music is a state of mind to be able to cry out to the world freedom of life”
Music and words
A question that I ask all singers and singers, in the talent “The Voice” we witnessed last year in the presence and victory of Sister Cristina. Can music, according to you, join a physiological attitude (of faith) and, at the same time, transmit evangelical messages?
Brancale: I have never been interested in the success of Sister Cristina but every form of art can be a communication channel.
What are the most important models you are inspired to become a great musician?
Brancale: My models are singers both Italian and foreign. Not necessarily jazz but also pop like Stevie Wonder
Fabio Canino approached you to Nina Zilli and Mina. What does this appreciation mean to you?
Brancale: I didn't know about this comparison, I know that Canino on a Rai program, expressed in an extremely flattering manner towards me, I must say that the performance of Sanremo made me earn many and by authoritative critics but while being happy to have them, I put them aside I look forward.
What was it for you Sanremo?
Brancale: Sanremo for me was a dream, lived with a lot of serenity and fun. It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet singers
“The soundtrack of my life is not only to music but also silence”
Music and words
When you write your songs, do you think of a particular moment of your life or in a circumstance that concerns today's society?
Brancale: I write my songs because something drew my attention, I write to comment and to express myself.
What is the “soundtrack” of your life?
Brancale: The soundtrack of my life is not only to music but also silence
Who would you like to thank for your artistic journey?
Brancale: I thank the people close to me: the family, Bruno Tibaldi and Michele Torpedine “
What are your future projects?
Brancale: My future projects are many, I want to hack another album already ready in my head, I would like to publish my comics and create video clips
The beginnings and passion
When will your first tour begin?
Brancale: My tour really started immediately after Sanremo but, on request of all my friends, I posted on Facebook an inn with my next appointments.
I conclude this interview by mentioning an answer given by our singer: ““Gallege” for me it is a state of mind, a moment of indecision of the life in which it aleges without goal.” I also add that jazz music is a state of mind to be able to cry out to the world freedom of life.
Therefore music, besides being our secret diary and replay of memories of our past, is also the instrument of shouting against discrimination, racism, violence, homophobia, prejudices and all those barriers that have hindered the world.
For this reason our bare artist, Serena Brancale, is an example, like Ella Fitzgerard, Daiana Rosse, Aretha Franklin and like all those artists born from jazz music, who gave, with the song “Galleggiare, the theme of love in its facets to shout that state of mind that is called “freedom of love”
