The great master and presenter of Italian television Pippo Baudo, every Wednesday, at noon, on Rai 2, within the television broadcast "I Facts Vostri", keeps a very interesting column for us young people, like me, who want to pursue artistic career in the world of entertainment and cinema, called "Stories of television".

On the first episode, held on Wednesday 19/10/2016, Pippo Baudo, together with Giancarlo Magalli, began to describe the origin of television.

“The television was born on January 6, 1954, on the panoramic view of the Rai Tower in Corso Sempione in Milan, with the symphony of Guglielmo Otelli. The first broadcast was “The Coffee Shop” – added Baudo- from Goldoni’s comedy and then came the great manager of Rai Filiberto Guala, who dictates rules on some forbidden words to be used (no childbirth, no virginity, no alcove, no chicken and no member).

Moreover Baudo explained the birth of varieties, claiming that the so-called “varieties are born abroad and we must thank foreign directors who imported the variety from abroad”. “We examine the very famous variety of “Canzonissima”. The song "ZUM ZUM ZUM" was interpreted by great Italian artists, indeed 100 singers. Zum’s acceptance designed the camera’s technical tool, and every time the camera had to wait for the director to break the camera and change the camera. The cameras, in the past, had three objectives: 1) the total plan, 2) the American plane (which aims to cut the legs) and 3) very close-up.”

Baudo then continued by saying that the “zum or zoom came from abroad and that he had, still so far in the world of cinema, a value, that is to transform the camera’s goal and to approach and move away and zoom towards the subject of the quadrale”.

I invite everyone to follow the format “TV history” because we will all need to learn the birth of a useful and important means of communication.

On the next bet!!!
