The scandal of American politics in a colossal of 2018
Dear readers,
on 1 February 2018 was released in the Italian theatres “The Post”, the great film by Steven Spielberg. Merily Streep plays Katrine Grahm, the first Washington Post publishing woman, a strong and courageous woman who aims to protect her husband's publishing from the secret documents of the New York Times concerning the Vietnam War and succeeds us thanks to her friend, portrayed by Tom Hanks, Ban Bdradlee. The purpose of this film is to give maximum expressiveness to the press communication and to help citizens to have a sense of justice. Looking at the film I realized that Spielberg underlined the beginning and end of a true and accomplished story.
The Post is one of those films that wants to teach us that media, especially the press, provide detailed evidence of what is happening in the world. In this international political thriller, Spielberg managed to transform international political truth into a real colossal.
