How was your collection of poems “Fragments of a Life” born? How come you chose this title?

Novembre: I chose to write this book because first of all life you owe as it is and the fragments of a life are the people who combine and who have to communicate

“I am passionate about literature and so I have written many books and even poems and I have won many awards”

Reading your collection of lyrics “Fragments of a life” I captured the presence of feelings of life, such as crying, love, thanksgiving to someone, hatred, emigration. Are these feelings that you have analyzed and spoken in this collection of poems really “Fragments of life” or not?

Novembre: Of course they are fragments of a life because they are not a piece but many pieces because they change from one moment to another

What is poetry for you?

Novembre: Poetry, for me, is the manifestation of my soul that gives me satisfaction that makes in order to communicate with others and, also, to love others

The path and ideas

Can poetry save us from this lack of sense that pervades today's world?

Novembre: Yes because we need to improve our ego, to talk about understanding us and more!

“I like the emotion I write and I’m, too, a man who loves laughing and for this I also wrote a collection of jokes”

I was very inspired by his poem “Tante useless parole” which is contained in this collection. Sometimes we can't communicate what we express and lose ourselves in a mention of empty words, meaningless and we have no courage to say a simple, simple but intense and universal word like "TI AMO". What is the cause, in your opinion, of this incapacity? The expressions of a past without “remembers”, a “light diffused in the void”, that “desert of light” what meaning do they have for her?

Novembre: For me light is an empty box and fills with people who love you understand

In the poem dedicated to Pope John Paul II, it is touching the acceptance that you give of our beloved Pope Woitjla “Fragile man of white dress”, a man like all of us, with his fragility that can illuminate with the whiteness of his garment our life. The inability of a man who is still fascinated by security, certainty, by the example of this “Fragile man” cannot find faith in his heart. But it's not all lost. Hope is always hope. In what does hope materialize? Would I also like to ask her for her differences between Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis?

Novembre: I am not very religious and at that time faith is less and then we cling to hope. These ancient Popes were heavier and severer; and there is no goodness of Pope Woitjla or Pope Bergoglio. As for my considerations between the two Popes I find no arduity, indeed they go on the same line.

What is the message you want to convey in his poems?

Novembre: The message I want to convey in my poems is to love everyone, to be able to have a dialogue with others and to be always in harmony with them and with themselves

I conclude this interview by reporting one of the most beautiful answers given by our guest: “For me the light is an empty box and fills with people who love you understand.” To this reply I add that Mimmì Novembre has been able to convey love for pure poetry. His poems are always a sphere of memories, reflections, knowledge and passion.

The many poems, such as “History of a Mother”, “A Karol Wojtyla”, “The warmth of a hand”, “Tante useless words” and others, are the example of all feelings that we want to contain always that they can help us improve day after day. I believe that Mimmì November, with his collection “Framments of a life, wants to convey a message of benevolence and well-being for themselves and for all.
