In your films and in your theatrical performances you have told the strength, determination, sensitivity of women. How important is the figure of the woman in the cinema and in the theatre?

Angelillo: “I would say very important even if at the level of scripture stories we are almost always relegated to minor roles compared to boys.

Among all the characters you have interpreted, what is the one that has remained in your heart what characterizes it?

Angelillo: Especially in the theater at the moment when I decide to bring a character to the stage is because or has fascinated me or curious, beyond if he has something in common with me, better if he is away from me, it becomes an interesting challenge. I am not one who takes home the character once the representation is finished but surely something remains inside you.“

“At a time like this, the future of cinema and theatre I see it difficult, the path has always been uphill but with Covid it has become a very dangerous climbing”

Even with different languages, theatre and cinema share the strength of narration. What story do you want to tell?

Angelillo: In the theater I told many women, funny, strong, silly, sweet, hard etc.... I would like to continue to tell them in their facets beyond the story that normally deals with the topics of our lives, love, death, conflicts and so on.”

Inside the characters

Do you prefer roles suitable for your person or away from your way of being?

Angelillo: As I said before, the more distant are, the more fun there is, also because it would be boring to tell me.”

What difficulties did you face to “Tale what show”, for example in the interpretation of Angelo Branduardi?

Angelillo: As a man, the difficulty was vocal, but although it was the most difficult test, it was the most rewarded.

“Salve Mariateresa, it was a passionate choice, I always wanted to be an actress...and I managed it”

How do you imagine the future of cinema and theatre?

Angelillo: At a time like this, the future of cinema and theatre is difficult, the path has always been uphill, but with Covid it has become a very dangerous climbing. I hope that the authorities, our government will help us to overcome this crisis ever seen.”

What are the models you have inspired to become a great artist?

Angelillo: Thank you for the great...hahahahahaha. There are many actresses I love from Monica Vitti to Shirley MacLaine“

Inspirations and references

What is the soundtrack of your professional personal journey?

Angelillo: Many soundtracks, I love music, without being able to stand, Sting, Barbra Streisand, Stewie Wonder, Mia Martini, Battisti, Carly Simon, Mozart, the great musicals jazz all music, that DOC“

Who would you like to thank for your professional personal journey? What are future projects?

Angelillo: I would like to thank everyone and no one, I had the chance to meet many extraordinary artists from which I definitely learned a lot but I never had a push a recommendation so all I have earned him by loving my work and doing it with passion the seriousness he deserves.“
