The beginnings and passion
When did your artistic career explode?
Pedone: I can't say it ever exploded. At least not to the extent that I would wish. But if there has been an impennata, I definitely owe it to my participation in the Cast of the fiction L’Ariamara 4, where I played the role of the mischief a little bit improvised by all called “Birillo”.

How important was the determination to transform your passion into a profession?
Pedone: The determination of the constancy, combined with the study and a pinch of luck, are the recipe for success. In artistic life as much as in everyday life.
Among all the characters you have interpreted in your artistic career, What is what you have left in your heart what are the attributes that have characterized it?
Pedone: “I would say the character of “Birillo”, for several reasons. Both because, as I said before, it gave me a lot of visibility as an artist, but especially because I lived a beautiful personal experience training side by side with the late friend and actor Mino Barbarese.
Speaking of the characteristic attributes of “Birillo”, it definitely stands out the constant contrast between his embossment and his attempt to place himself to the next as a criminal without scruples.
“But if there has been an impennata, I definitely owe it to my participation in the Cast of the fiction L’Ariamara 4, where I played the role of the mischief a little bit improvised by all called “Birillo”
Is there a difference in your approach to acting a film rather than acting a stage?
Pedone: Of course. If in the recitation behind the camera your feedback from the audience will receive it in the cinemas of a cinema, in the criticism, in those who stop you on the street to compliment that role, the theater offers an immediate feedback, I would say almost “face to face” with the viewer. The approach is certainly different.
The public and the language of comedy
Luigi Pirandello was one of the most important dramatists in Italian and worldwide theatre. He made a distinction between the person and the character (mask) claiming that the character is the one who recites the part dictated by society and therefore we have the idea of humor, of “rice” and improvisation. I want to know from you, your theater, let’s call it ironically “pedinano”, is it combined with the idea of humor and the feeling of the opposite of Pirandello?
Pedone: A question too sophisticated for me! (Smile). In my little one, I hope that my humor is inspired by the “sense of the contrary” thought by Pirandello and that therefore it is a humor able to invite, with the smile, to the reflection that generates understanding for the weaknesses of others.
When the director offers you the part, do you immediately accept a proposed script?
Pedone: Absolutely not. The difference between artist and mercenary lies in not selling and not giving themselves to roles that certainly do not belong to us.
“In artistic life as much as in everyday life”
What is the difference between imitation interpretation?
Pedone: In imitation, the actor merely reproduces in a “mechanical” and not original way the behaviour of others. The interpretation, on the other hand, involves a personal component in the recreation of a character, which is of imagination or existence. “
What are the models you've inspired to become an actor?
Pedone: I'm not sure I really have precise models that I've been inspired by. As a lover of the cinema, I certainly have undergone the influence of the great Italian and international artists, but I have always sought in myself, in my “fantasy”, the highest source of inspiration.
Inspirations and references
What is the soundtrack of your professional personal journey?
Pedone: Dry answer: The strength of the Life of Paolo Vallesi.
Who would like to thank for your journey and what are your projects? What advice would you give to those who want to get closer to acting?
Pedone: “There are so many friends and teachers who accompanied me during my journey, but on all, my thought is always addressed to the “Master” Mino Barbarese for driving me with a fatherly soul.
In the immediate future, my debut as a co-director and star actor in the Sit Com “Com Commissioner Spiedone”, is being finalised, boasting a cast that will leave open.
To young actors and actresses I can give only one great advice, which is an exhortation: Never give up
