You have been the author of many programs of various networks of our regional television; I want to know among all the programs that you have achieved, which among them what has remained in your heart?

Balestra: ” The program that most remained in my heart is without doubt “From Puglia with” from 2003 to 2010 on Sky and in particular on “Puglia Channel” the program was visible in Italy and Europe and, also, in 40 countries of the Mediterranean”.

“First of all, I would like to thank my wife and children for the love and dedication they have given me in my life”

What is the difference between television and theatrical author? What are the elements that share them?

Balestra: “A conductor and author as I am, I have played a lot on improvisation because the theatrical author must follow a well-defined script. However, you often have to be good actors with some guests both in the studio and on the phone”.

As television programmes have evolved over the years and at the same time television

On television there was no evolution but American programs were copied and not...

In addition to writing for television, you worked as a presenter. What qualities do you need to conduct a program?

Balestra: There is no rato presenter or a great author, there is only one person who besides inquiring and having a face that holes the video... it must transmit positivity, leaving his problems outside the television studio and that makes him enjoy to as many people as possible.

“As for the artistic aspect I would like to thank the talent scout of the Apulian artists, who missed a year ago, Enzo Zambetta with him I shared many years of work and sometimes we had some quarrel”

Inspirations and references

What figures have inspired you in the work of author and television host?

Balestra: “I don’t have a particular model, maybe I stole a bit of the craft from all the most famous.. From Corrado to Baudo, from Piombi to Buongiorno and I had the opportunity to meet them personally.”

What is the soundtrack of your life?

Balestra: They are two, “More Down” by the legendary Renato Zero and “It’s beautiful day” by Michael Bublé

Who would you like to thank for your professional personal journey? What will your future projects be?

Balestra: “First of all, I would like to thank my wife my children for love for the dedication they have given me in my life. As for the artistic aspect I would like to thank the talent scout of the Apulian artists, who missed a year ago, Enzo Zambetta with him I shared many years of work and sometimes we had some quarrel. I take this opportunity to remind many that it has already been a year since its disappearance. For the future, I have no plans to do at my age.

However, returning to Sky networks would be my biggest dream to return to the homes of many southern people living abroad or far away and anyway from Puglia and Italy. My motto is always: “You never say”. Thanks to you for this interview.”
